The morning sunlight, moves gently on our bed Sounds of distant traffic, float into my head Eyes slowly open and words won’t be enough But what is left unspoken burns softly in your touchSo hold me in your arms Hold me in your arms So my love, hold me in your armsTime moves without us, this room will be untouched We’re safe beneath the truth now Both safe within this loveSo hold me in your arms Hold me in your arms So my love, hold me in your armsAnd oh the heart in me Feels more than you can see I can’t get close enough Every single day, is ours to feel this way I can’t get close enough, never close enough …So hold me in your arms Hold me in your arms So my love, hold me in your arms
This is what I submitted to Benjamin’s Brother Campfire singing challenge in Puking Peasant Inn
The sun is bright, shines on your butt
Every night you drink to dawn
Puking out on the bench
You look almost like a Gremlin
Puking Peasant Inn isn’t your home
Pack your bag and go out
The sun is bright, shines on your face
Welcome a new day soberly
The sun is bright, shines on your face
Every morning you feel alive
Out in the fields flies dandelion
Your heart is happy to be free
Never waste your time on the grog
Ladies don’t like drunkards
Your beautiful bride waits for you
Bless your returning heart forever

Sadie, the cleaning lady
With trusty scrubbing brush and pail of water
Worked her fingers to the bone, for the life she had at home
Providing at the same time for her daughter
Ahh Sadie, the cleaning lady
Her aching knees not getting any younger
Well her red detergent hands, have for years not held a man’s
And time would find her heart expired of hunger
Scrub your floors, do your chores, dear old Sadie
Looks as though you’ll always be a cleaning lady
Can’t afford to get bored dear old Sadie
Looks as though you’ll always be a cleaning lady
Ahh Sadie, the cleaning la-ady
Her female mind would find a way of trapping
Though as gentle as a lamb, Sam the elevator man
So she could spend the night by TV, napping
Ahh Sadie, the cleaning lady
Her aching knees not getting any younger
Well her red detergent hands, have for years not held a man’s
And time would find her heart expired of hunger
Ahh, scrub your floors, do your chores, dear old Sadie
Looks as though you’ll always be a cleaning lady
Can’t afford to get bored dear old Sadie
Looks as though you’ll always be a cleaning lady
Ahh Sadie, the cleaning lady
Her Sam was what she got, hook, line and sinker
To her sorrow and dismay, she’s still working to this day
Her Sam turned out to be a nervous figure
Ahh, scrub your floors, do your chores, dear old Sadie
Looks as though you’ll always be a cleaning lady
Can’t afford to get bored dear old Sadie (fade)
Mama been laid off
Papa been laid off
My brother’s been laid off
For more than two years now
Ooh, can’t get a job
Billy can’t get a job
Ooh, they gotta listen to the blues
Help them to strive
Help them to move on
Help them to have some future
Help them to live long
Help them to live life
Help them to smile
Don’t let them stay home and listen to the blues
Papa been laid off
Mama been laid off
Billy can’t get a job
For too long, too long
Don’t let them lose
We gotta give them a chance
It’s gonna come back on everyone
If you don’t make them dance
Don’t let them stay home and listen to the blues
There’s nothing sacred
(Why?, why?, why?)
Breathing hatred
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah
We have to face it
(Why?, why?, why?)
No one can take it
And feel no pain
(Feel no pain)
Mama been laid off
Papa been laid off
My brother’s been laid off
For more than two years now
Ooh, can’t get a job
Billy can’t get a job
Ooh, they gotta listen to the blues
Help them to strive
Help them to move on
Help them to have some future
Help them to live long
Help them to live life
Help them to smile
Don’t let them stay home and listen to the blues
One day we’re gonna wake up
And the ghetto’s all around
All over my friend
Have you ever seen a man break down
Do you know how that feels?
(Why?, why?)
To walk the street with your head held high
(Why?, why?, why?)
Oh Lord have mercy
(Why?, why?)
Did you ever see a man break down
There’s nothing sacred
(Why?, why?, why?)
Breathing hatred
We have to face it
(Why?, why?, why?)
No-one can take it
(Why?, why?, why?)
And feel no pain
Ohh, did you ever see a man break down?
This poem is inspired by one of my favourite duet songs. It is about the internal struggle of two women who love the same man.
I can’t help to fall in love with you. The burst of sweetness infuses the romantic air. My every breath is shared with you in synchronised melody. My heart is overflowing with ecstatic happiness. My love! Keep suffocating me with unending passion. Don’t leave a moment allowing me to think of your other love. Because I am unable to detach myself from your syrup bubbles.
My love!
We’ve been always honest and in oneness.
I wish that wasn’t the case when I read your confession of new infatuated romance.
My heart died in the hand of your arson.
You left me wonder should I quit loving us.
There is a new chapter written in our story without my consent.
Should I keep reading to the end or set it on fire as revenge?
Tell me, my love!
