Sowing and reaping

we cursed the tree
poisoned the grass around it
withheld praise from the flowers
and wondering why our children
don’t enjoy playing
in the yard
anymore

  1. Good stuff! To me, this is another area where we have diminished beauty and mocked the sacred and what remains is to our detriment. We reduce everything to be merely scientific and lose the majesty…
