The Six Sentence Story prompt – Shower
I have found the irony of life is that no matter how prepared you are, you still fall short of certain expectations. The typical example I can give you is that I almost always without covering when heaven decides to surprise me with a shower of rain, snow or hail.
They say ‘fail to plan is plan to fail’. Well, I know and believe me, I have been trying and doing my best to prepare for the unexpected. But I seem to manage to fall through the cracks or be an outlier which often discarded.
Thankfully there is always another side of the coin where I have been showered with random kindness and gracious love.
True. There is always good and bad, push and pull, give and take. It’s how we learn to navigate them that helps us move through.

Of course, if the old saying was ‘Prepare for the un-preparable’ then we would have a clue going into a situation.
Except, as with most fables and morals and admonitions, it’s blame the victim.

It is hard to plan for the unexpected. I also prefer the unexpected kindness.

The problem with taking an umbrella all of the time is that you lose it anyway and then still don’t have it when you need it!
An excellent, thoughtful post.

Love that conclusion. Many of us have received that but how important to realize it and acknowledge it.

Thought provoking SSS. The random acts of kindness and love, whether you are the receiver of such or the giver are blessings.

Thank you Pat. Indeed giving and receiving with the right heart are both blessings.

Would rather be showered with gracious love than a rain shower. Nice six.

Certainly “fail to plan is plan to fail” is true but isn-t applicable to all situations esp ones you have not so much info about~but for weather stuff definitely should be checking the weather and make sure you are prepared esp if you hate rain and stuff ๐ค
