Pebbles

Chilly autumn day
on a wet shore
The hard-edged pebbles
underneath my unprepared feet
cripple my steps

Leaning against a rock
I watch you snorkeling
flappers up
diving deep
towards the colourful marine world
where you find joy
and peace
