I got this pair of old boots.
As comfortable as they once were,
I just knew they wouldn’t last to the end.
It’s hard to part the memory of
how they hugged around my ankles
all these years.
It’s almost a moral battle to be rid off them
no matter how worn out they were,
how much my footsteps became labourous
for their lack of support.
And the fear of breaking into new ones
made me keep wearing them
ignoring how they actually hurt.
Eventually I found myself stalled
and was unable to move forward.
The moment I decided to let them go,
they completely fell apart.
So I was finally free to continue on my journey
without the weight hung onto my ankles.
Old Pair of Boots

I appreciate your poem and understand the burden of things that we have difficulty letting go.
Love ❤️ to you my friend. J

I have my favourite shoes repaired. They ended up cost more than getting a new pair, but some shoes are worth repairing.

Hi Cassa
I can totally relate, on both, relationships and actual boots 🙂
It is hard for me to let go of things, in general.
Wishing you a blessed week! ♥♥
