bitter sweet of life
the moment is fleeting
let’s smile

a smile predicts
the next moment
to be honeydew
a smile welcomes
the next chapter
to be hope-filled
a smile lifts
the heavy spirit
to be victorious

sorrow interweaves with joy
it is meaningless
to be sober minded
it is all just vanity
let’s smile

a smile gives us reasons
to live on
a smile humbles us
to know our maker
a smile sates us
with a grateful heart
