There was a time
I only dipped my toes
in shallow waters
to stop myself
going too deep into
despair
Thank God
there were plenty of
such safe places
if only
my will to live
remained on the
surface

Sometimes you need someone to push you to the deep waters. . .

I liked this! Because it is so literally true for how I used to feel at the beach, and whenever I’d (rarely) come across a scenario like in the picture, I’d absolutely love it! Feeling of safety whilst also swimming in the sea :).

And me….I went straight to the deep end. You’d think after so many years of nearly drowning I’d be a toe-dipper. But I’m getting better at just feeling out the waters now. I enjoy your writing.

Thanks K.L. for commenting. People with passion mostly going all in. I am glad that you are feeling on the rise (out the waters), stay afloat!
