The Living Poetry picture prompt
There is a food shortage
in our town
except the gated community
I've found a way
to climb over the hedge
to help myself
with some leftover party food
and pack some for later
On my way back down
I come face to face
with a squirrel
nibbling on a pine cone
It looks at me
I look at it
Suddenly I feel really sad
because God looks after a squirrel
better than me
Good description of the sadness that comes from comparison with the squirrel. God seems distant. It reminds me how Job must have felt.

Job is my favourite book of the Bible. The fact that when he sees God, he has no more questions. I’m always reminded of that if I am ever seeing obstacles/calamities are bigger than God.

The squirrels have the advantage every time – little tree rats with their cute fluffy tails.

Excellent observation. The world is left to squirrels the and rich 1 percenters.

Yes greed is more prominent than ever. Only God will fix it.

God is sad we don’t take better care of each other.
