The dividing water

I don’t know I have ever felt the way I feel about you
I don’t know has anyone ever so completely besotted with me like you do

I don’t know I have ever dreamt about love the way until I know you
I don’t know has anyone ever known me the way you know me

You have kissed my soul long before you will kiss me
You have loved me long before you will see me

You were the wish I made to the shooting stars long before I had known about love

You were the one covered by the umbrella in the dividing rain,
a dream I had so long forgotten ago,
I was a curious teenager tipped toes on the dry side,
spotted you and knew you were the one

You have vividly lived in that dream
until I heard you whispering across the ocean

I don’t know I have ever felt so content as how I feel now
just knowing you are there
and love will part the sea

    1. Thank you! I had the dividing rain dream in my teen years. In my dream the street is dry on one side, heavy rain on another side. I stood on the dry side saw a man, his face was covered by an umbrella.

      1. I figured it out. I am hoping to start posting again in August. I will try and do that one before then. Thank you so much! Hope you’re well.

      2. Thank you very much. It is much better! It is still a little numb to the touch, but much less painful when hit (or touched! lol). I appreciate it.

Looking forward to all the posts I’ve been missing! I know you have been putting some good stuff up!
