The Death of A Poet

you were
the assassin of my poetic being
you attacked by slicing a sharp tongue
down the core of my creativity
whatever I inked
post mortem
dripped wasteful words
irretrievable

  1. This is really interesting and makes me wonder if someone is not supportive of your writing. I truly hope that is not the case you are a good poet and this is a lovely expressive piece that tells how one’s judgements can hurt. Nicely written Cassa. Keep writing. Love ❤️ Joni

    1. This community is very supportive. I am forever grateful that this is a safe place to create, make mistakes, received constructive feedback. This piece is expressing being a poet with a sensitive heart can be a blessing and a curse. Over sensitive at times. Thank you Joni for your caring heart! Sending love 💚💕
