I really like this one. The utter despair of the poem matches the overwhelming destructive chaos of the painting. There are wildfires every summer in my area in southwest Colorado as well. The devastation is unimaginable. Beautiful words and painting, Cassa! š
We do backburning to reduce the bushfire, but nature has its way. I visited the affected area one year, and saw the devastating aftermath on the locals faces.
Your painting has really captured the intensity of the fire. The inferno. And your words, perhaps the intensity of sorrow. The fires, loss and despair must have been utterly devastating. And terrifying.

I imagined so with farmers lost their home and the means to make a living. And the animals without their home.
