Today
The first autumn leaves fell
They remind me
of the warm sun
no more
Because
I scattered your ashes
on the last day of summer
Autumn Doesn’t Feel The Same

Today
The first autumn leaves fell
They remind me
of the warm sun
no more
Because
I scattered your ashes
on the last day of summer
I always get a bit sad to see summer end, and ours is soon to begin…

I usually love Autumn for its colours. We are at the end of autumn now and heading into winter soon.

As Autumn leaves fell
Ashes do silently dwell

I love how the tone of this changes – the opening four lines full of hope and beauty, and then the crash of a harsh reality. Excellent.

As soon as I read this I thought of the current Kdrama Bo Ra! Deborah where she reflects on the movie 500 Days of Summer (the last day of Summer transitioning to the first day of Autumn) 😊
