Changeable

You fill your fantasy
with me with a whip
in that discreet outfit
ready to pleasure you
Marks of excitement
are visible
all over your body
waiting to receive
No pain inflicted
No scream of delight
I stay on the screen
You soak in sweat and seed
They used to think
they would be forever
written into each other’s poetry
They used to say
they would express
happiness, sadness, fear, anger
in stanzas
But life took them
by surprise
In the end
they expressed disgust
towards each other
in prose
Living Poetry prompt – Repetition
Everyday living
on repeat
like a copy machine
steady pace
never race
Don’t ask me
about happiness
pleasure
or joy
They are luxury thoughts
too radical
for me
The tea is lukewarm
You may still come
I know
I will persevere
till it’s gone cold
I knew
we ended
from the hug
we had
at the same cafe
our smiles met
and our legs
flirted
I realised
what we had
was pure lust
and transactions
I touched up
my lipstick
and went out
to hunt again
But this time
he’ll be the one
that’s taking care of
the bills
He is goofy
and into Motown music
He got an old soul
like the oud wood
trailing behind long after
he left the room
I often
stand in a distance
look at him
through a stained glass
church window
At best
I manage to make out his silhouette
But
I see him
through and through
Sexy lingerie
is the kindling
disintegrating into
the furnace of passion
To buy
or not to buy
The pain of breaking in new shoes
before they fit like gloves
The exhilarating new love we feel
Make love till it hurts
Rain and blue sky
both beautiful
Pain and pleasure
blurry is the line
He still sends her presents
helps her to pay bills
cares about her from a distance
She keeps those gifts
pays her bills with his money
thinks about him sometimes
Giving is a blessing
Receiving validates his existence
