Thank for the encouragement Robin. I attempted oil painting back in 2015, I did a few. Then realised I needed to work on basics, so instead to draw/sketch.
To me it seems like the hardest parts would be vegetation which are the main parts of the painting and look great to me, so yeah I guess I’m focusing on those things, plus the colour combination is just great. Blue and green. Full of life! And I have absolutely no idea how you’d do that tree lol, so it seems like magic already.

If you ever visit China, try The Humble Administrator’s garden in Suzhou; and Zhouzhuang (Venus in the East), they are 1 hour apart by car. When I visited back in 2014, my ability to write Chinese peoms returned. They are places frequently visited by poets.

I used a pallette knife for the willow in memory.
