Gone like the Stream

They flow effortlessly
in the current of illusion
lighter than feathers
more flickering than light

He asks
Should we stop
this smooth intertwining
She thinks and over thinks
and
he passes her by

Popcorn Romance

I have worked with Joey for another fun one: Jay – The Fragrance Writer

He likes me
He really likes me
He really really likes me!
All clouds in the sky is everything wonderful in paradise
His smile makes Zac Efron’s fake
His eyes are a candy store I am lost in
His humour is the centre of an amusement park
His kisses melt on my lips like pink fairy floss
He makes me feel like buttercups
And butterflies dance in my stomach
As I sip from his cup of cola.
I hope our saga never ends.

Three months bubblegum romance
Bursts forth a rich flavour
artificial sugar induced decay
Leaves exposed nerve toothache
buttercups lead to a stomach ache
Just like butterflies lead to indigestion.
Too much cola – I’m too wired to sleep.
And this tired saga needs a finale. . .

Our short lived romance is like popcorn
Never lasts to the end of the movie before they’ve gone stale
What I first craved is now just a headache.
And I’m ready to go home.
As I leave, I turn and give one last glance.
Hey, you never know when you’ll crave popcorn again.

Evolution

fear begets panic
panic begets lack
lack begets greed
greed begets violence
violence begets death
death begets embrace
embrace begets love
love begets hope
hope begets life

Print of ‘Miracles of Earth Moment’ by Kazuaki Tanahashi

Mute by Default

I have learned to keep my lips sealed
Those unspoken words made their way into my dreams
They sometimes told lies
They sometimes mocked me
They sometimes threw a pity party

It is so easy to be a silent communicator
My hollow gaze from sunken eyes has told you my story
Let my words be few
The departed usually don’t make much sound

Anoroc

Anoroc gossip travelled
from the east to
the arse end of the earth
Such whisper swept the country
like wildfire
Residents rose to panic
to stock up toilet papers
since they are already
at the bottom of
the gossip chain
Fear overwhelmed the multitude
took them by the pony tail
span them around
into a whirlwind
of pandemic greed

Thoughts on Old Photos X

by sketching
you break me down in plain lines
part of me remains prominent
that, you cannot fathom

Plague

the plague swept the land
its inhabitants rushed to
store up essentials in barns
the moths and rodents rejoiced
while infected their household
with disease more vicious than
the original plague

Howling
Winds taking
Down the guards
Off my superficial layers
Insecurities
Tearing out
Bitter longing dreams
I rise from ashes
Temporal
Instant gratification
Consoles your loneliness
In an exhilarating whirlwind
Death
