#Publication – The Poets Symphony

Dear Readers,

Two of my poems Cello and This Used to be My Playground made it into The Poets Symphony collection

“Lovingly composed by thirty-one artists and writers from around the world, The Poets Symphony delivers the seduction of music in the form of poetry, lyrics, rhyme, digital art, photography and more.”

Thank you Tara Caribou for putting this collection out. I look forward to reading the pieces from my fellow bloggers Mike Ennenbach and River Dixon

Here are snips of my 2 poems:

Cello

… She exhibits as the most porcelain icy celestial body on the Kuiper belt
The divine tone of cello is escalating from mellow to vibrant,
lustrous to transcendental to dark…

This Used to be My Playground

…I dream of you still in black and white
Your linen shirt flying on the swing
Your manic laughter on the seesaw

This used to be my playground
This used to be my childhood dream
This used to be the place I ran to whenever I was in need of a friend
Why did it have to end…

The Poets Symphony: Verses, Melodies, and Lyrical Poems is releasing on the 15th of May. You will find it anywhere that sells books online: lulu, Barnes & Noble, Amazon.

Ambition

A man will not hide under his armpit
Make excuses for his lazy manner
Binge watch The Bachelorette
Idolise chick flicks immaturity
Take advantage of little old lady Terri
Insult public school children’s intelligence
Order take-away fluffy Chinese omelette
Nothing to do but masturbate on sofa all night

Legacy

This little poem is inspired by Archive by Benjamin Grossman

I would love to be remembered as 0
came as 0
went as 0
a perfect weightless cycle

I came pure
and innocent to this world
I would leave without immorality
and guilt free

For life could not lay shame on me
and death would not overcome me

Reality Wrapped in a Dream

I always dream to have a house by the lake.
Funny thing is, I hate slugs and mosquitoes.
Ironically there is almost always a trade-off.
So, it’d be best to enjoy what the lake offers
in a bubble wrapped living from a distance.

Safety Measure

There was a time
I only dipped my toes
in shallow waters
to stop myself
going too deep into
despair

Thank God
there were plenty of
such safe places
if only
my will to live
remained on the
surface

Happy Easter

Peace

A peaceful outside world gives the best self reflection

We are at peace with ourselves

World peace is reflected through us

Lover’s Concerto

I keep
a patch of springy grass
for you
in delight
next to me
a bed of luscious green
free of brown needle pines
in the shape of a romantic heart
the ocean caresses us
in soft piano key strokes
how about
we pull down the cloud
from the turquoise sky
to shield us from
the sweep of autumn wind
into our sweet concerto of love

Relatively Speaking

When humans invaded nature
all things made ways
to let humans have dominion over them
They hoped at least
some would respect and love them back

Since heavens invaded earth
human spirits have been subjected to gods
Our free will chose the god we serve
We hope at least
one God would love us back

We believe we are more than a thing
Would God consider we are more than human

Bad Advice

This little poem is inspired by My Writing Routine by M L Woldman

The sexy therapist suggested me
to masturbate
to be in touch
with myself

I refused
How could you expect
splendid firework
if you wet the fuse
