I am so excited that
someone picks on me
It’s like spinning the numbers of Lotte
and watching The ball fall
the more enraged you become
the more amusing I find
You want to break
the unbreakable happy bubbles
and yet your fang is not sharpened
how can you penetrate a genuine soul
with grand fear
kicking and screaming behind the dull ache
I stand centered
anchored in my security
not from cheer squad
nor face fallen admirers
nor false unsustainable praise
it solely comes from
the innate sense of knowing
who I am
and I am acceptable
in every way
So that is that
play away your little games
I only feel entertained
and a tinge of sympathy
and empathy by far
it was always
in the spring rain
you took my hand
and ran towards the pear blossoms
our stumbling footsteps
shook the petals
they snowed landing on my hair
you took them off piece by piece
when I looked up
to your concerning eyes
raindrops threaded through
such delicate lashes
you took my breath away
oh how I wished
for the rest of our life
I would take your name
to be mine
She window shops many times
at the downtown family owned jeweller.
With all the wealth she has,
there is no issue of wearing the piece
with pride on her elegant neck.
She understands
the charm of being unattainable.
So she stands admiring
through the crystal clear glass,
lets the emerald piece reflect of
her honey brown eyes.
They become envious amber,
burning her face to coral,
the same way she feels about
the summer love by the reef
long time ago.
It was like a spurge of fireworks,
and yet, it lingers for a life time.
She clears her throat
and holds back her tears.
It is not regret that she feels.
It is the illusion of love that she aches for.

let’s shuffle the playlist
Eat kale chips and eggplant wedge dipped in chilly jam
Let’s waltz away in our fave band T-shirts
misted in aromatic oil
Let’s pillow fight and giggle
till our tummy muscles grow
Chase each other
Until we fall in a pile
Laughing on the floor
Cheeks sore from smiling
The thunder of our hearts
Drowns out the music
Gazing lovingly at each other
Until you tickle me some more
Let’s pull down the blinds
Dim the world outside
Let our love twinkle
Stardust falling on us
Echoing the illumination within us
Let us My Love
Let us create the most glorious night sky
All in this place we call
Home
Let’s close the door
And embrace
My love
Shut the world out
And fall into
Our sanctuary in
Everlasting bliss
Yes
Let’s close the door
And embrace
My darling
Falling into
Our sanctuary in
Love forever more

Outside the long pavilion, along the ancient route, fragrant green grass joins the sky,
I ask of you, as you go this time, when are you to return? When it’s time to come please don’t hesitate.
At the brink of the sky, at the corners of the earth, familiar friends wander in loneliness and far from home,
In life it is happy reunions that are rare; most often we bid farewell.

set me free
let me wander off
wherever I go
I carry your gracious heart
I don’t know
if you will settle for
the next best
while I am away
to cure my heart
we have no way of knowing
except when dreams come
tears thread our hearts
two broken
too far away
bitter sweet of life
the moment is fleeting
let’s smile
a smile predicts
the next moment
to be honeydew
a smile welcomes
the next chapter
to be hope-filled
a smile lifts
the heavy spirit
to be victorious
sorrow interweaves with joy
it is meaningless
to be sober minded
it is all just vanity
let’s smile
a smile gives us reasons
to live on
a smile humbles us
to know our maker
a smile sates us
with a grateful heart
His razor sharp mind
misread
misjudged
misunderstood
His diamond eyes
piercing
penetrating
precisioning
Rocks and pebbles
scattering about
piling up shaky foundation
trying to overturn him
False affection and shady lovers
pointing their fingers at him
accusing his integrity
attempting to cast him down
And yet
he rules
the moment he lays eyes on her
his rightful queen
his soul seeks solace
in her tranquility
His manic anger
burned her into
fearful blues
The fresh cyan bruises
and old sallow scars
stole her royalty
Her once thriving life
descended with
Autumn leaves
